Wendel Brent Dunning - Mississippi

Wendell Brent Dunning, 48, formerly of the Buckeye Community near Leachville, died Friday, Dec. 27, 2002, in Murphy, Miss. Born at Leachville, he was the son of the late Jack and Betty Buck Dunning and had lived in Mississippi for the past 17 years. He was a 1972 graduate of Senath-Hornersville High School and was a supervisor at Delta Pride catfish. He was a member of the New Providence Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Susie Dunning of Hollandale, Miss.; a son, Dustin Brent Dunning of Hollandale, Miss.; a daughter, Brittany Dunning, of Hollandale, Miss.; two nieces, Tonya Atchison of Reeves, Mo., and Mitzi Medsker of Hornersville; a great-nephew, Jared Shaneyfelt of Reeves, Mo.; two great-nieces, Lindsey Atchison of Reeves, Mo., and Jacklyn Medsker of Paragould.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Monda Johnson.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with Rev. David Powell officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery.
