Earnest Alton Cloninger - Oklahoma

Earnest Alton Cloninger, 64, of Oklahoma, formerly of Monette, died Dec. 3, 2002. He was born Nov. 20, 1938 in Clarksville to Virgil and Burlie Pelts Cloninger. He attended school at Monette High School until he enlisted in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patsy Lou (Robinson) Cloninger; sons, Earnest Wayne and wife Carmelita Cloninger, and Randy Cloninger; daughters, Brenda and husband, Martin Wolf, and Delora and husband, Ron Minard; brothers, Floyd Cloninger and Charles Cloninger; sisters, Loretta Cunningham and Mary Jane Elias; grandchildren, Dennis Wolf, Vernonica Towe and husband, J.R., Joshua Minard, Ryan Minard, Tyler Minard, Devin Cloninger, and Brandi Cloninger.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Wade, Roy, and Ray Cloninger.

The funeral was held at noon Friday, Dec. 6, at the South Colonial Chapel of Vondel Smith.
