Billy D. Fletcher - Caraway

Billy D. Fletcher, 70, of Caraway, formerly of West Memphis, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2002, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born in Caraway, he was a self-employed truck driver, a member of the Masonic Lodge in West Memphis and a member of First Baptist Church in Caraway.

Survivors include a brother, Archie Russell of Dogtown, Ky.; four sisters, Bonnie McCord and Ruth Hillhouse, both of Caraway, Melida Daugherty of Monahans, Texas, and Marie Medsker of Searcy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy J. Fletcher.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Carway with Rick Stevens officiating. Burial was in the Caraway Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro.

Pallbearers were Jerry Qualls, Merett Emery, Curtis Fleming, Wayne Fletcher, Joe South and Houston Thomas.

The family requests anyone wishing to leave a lasting memorial consider the First Baptist Church in Caraway.
