Lorean Mamie Ballard - Manila

Lorean Mamie Ballard, 87, of Manila, the widow of Dial Ballard, died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2002, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Manila, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Asalee Bollinger Counts Farmer and was a lifelong resident of Manila. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women's group of Manila. Mrs. Ballard was a retired beautician and a charter member of the Manila Business and Professional Women's Club.

She is survived by a daughter, Jeanine Schnautz of Afton, Okla.; two brothers, Woodrow Counts of Stevensville, Mich.; Rex Gene "Bob" Farmer of Manila; her grandchildren, Tracy Stein, Monty Schnautz, Tony Schnautz; five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Manila Cemetery with a memorial service to follow at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Craig Russell officiating.
