Lola Sue Bratten - Walnut Ridge

Lola Sue Bratten, 88, of Walnut Ridge died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2002, at the Lawrence Hall Nursing Center in Walnut Ridge where she had resided for the past few months.

Born in Monette, she lived several years in caraway where she and her husband owned and operated the Caraway Cleaners from 1946-1969. She moved to Jonesboro where she was a seamstress for ABC Cleaners before her retirement. She lived in Hardy before moving to Walnut Ridge in 1990. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Monette.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth "Buster" Bratten of Walnut Ridge; two sons, Larry Bratten of Hardy and Jim Bratten of Jonesboro; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Bob Smith officiating. Entombment in the park mausoleum will follow with Emerson Funeral Home of Jonesboro in charge of arrangements.
