Opal Marie Bradford- Manila

Opal Marie Bradford, 87, of Manila, died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2002, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. She married Frank Bradford on Oct. 7, 1932 and the remained together until his death on Jan. 28, 2001. Born at Kennett she was the daughter of the late William and Dora Bell Warren. She was a former Aurora, Ill., and Brookland, resident and had lived in Manila since 1994. Mrs. Bradford was a member of Brookland Assembly of God Church and attended New harmony Baptist Church in Manila.

She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Jay and Sue Bradford of Aurora, Ill., Jack and Sandy Bradford and Ronnie and Sue Bradford, all of Montgomery, Ill., and J.R. and Linda Bradford of Rockport, Ind.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and Harold Chipman of Manila and Pansy and Chester Shipman of Brookland; a brother, Alvin Warren of Jacksonville; two sisters, Gracie Perry and Sybil Ball, both of Keiser; 24 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Ray Bradford, and her brothers, Jesse, Dewey and Leonard Warren.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila with Rev. Allen Quinn and Rev. Billy Moore officiating. Burial was in the Manila Cemetery.

Grandsons served as pallbearers.
