Billy Gerald Cornish - Monette

Billy Gerald Cornish, 64, of Monette, died Friday, July 19, 2002, at his residence. He was a retired farmer, of the Baptist faith, lived most of his life in the Monette area, and a member of the Woodman of the World.

He is survived by his wife, Coty Ann Cornish of the home; a son, Brady Cornish of Monette; a daughter, Cindy Smith of Weiner; two sisters, Clar Dallas of Dumas and Aileen Castlebury of Paris, Texas; two grandchildren, Morgan Milligan and Cody Smith.

A memorial graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Monette Cemetery with Rev. Clarence Cornish officiating. The funeral arrangements were under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

The family requests anyone wishing to leave a lasting memorial consider S. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis.
