James Clyde Fry - Black Oak

James Clyde Fry, 57, of Black Oak, died Tuesday, June 11, 2002, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro. A retired farmer associated with Grisham Farms for 30 years, he lived in the Black Oak area throughout his life.

Survivors include his wife, Paulette Fry of the home; his mother, Lillie Fry of Black Oak; a sister, Grace Jones of Black Oak; two brothers, Charles Fry of Corn, Okla., and Ray Fry of Burke, Vir.; a daughter, Shirley Fry of Black Oak; and two grandchildren, Andrew Stone and Courtney Stone.

Services were at 10 a.m. Friday at the Gregg Funeral Home chapel in Monette, with Rev. Larry Davis officiating. Burial was in the Monette Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Monette.

Active pallbearers were Ronnie Hill, Bob Grisham, Robbie Shirley, Chub Qualls, Heath Grisham and Jim Grisham. Honorary pallbearers were Eddie "Sonny" Lloyd, Kenny Vaughn, Jim Fletcher, Brandon Stone, Pete Williams, Blane Grisham, Earl Pipkin, Sr., Bill Hook, Bill Crowell, Charlie Hill, James Redman, Richard Redman, Bill Redman, Wayne Couch, Keith Thompson, Johnny Williams and Jerry Gipson.
