Amy Iva Lee Carter - Cardwell

Amy Iva Lee Carter, 83, of Cardwell died Monday, Feb. 25, 2002, at St. Bernards medical Center in Jonesboro. A lifelong resident of Cardwell, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Amy Bell Burcham and was a member of the Antioch Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, Paul A. Carter of Cardwell; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul Wayne and Annette Carter of Cardwell; a granddaughter, Phyllis Rogers of Searcy; two great-grandchildren, Nathan Rogers and Claire Rogers; a brother, Dr. James Russell Burcham of Kennett.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Irena Summitt, Connie Florence McCaskill and Viola Burcham.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with David Flannery officiating. Burial was in Cardwell Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Bob Peel, Gregg McGraw, Cliff Cupp, Bret Rogers, Don Noblin and Norman James.
