Charles William Hughes - Cardwell

Charles William Hughes, 80, of Cardwell died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Hughes of Cardwell; a son, William Eugene Hughes of Hot Springs; three daughters, Mary Patricia Stock of Olive Branch, Miss., Ina Hughes of Cardwell and Deborah Jenkins of Paragould; a sister, Laverne Thorn of Southaven, Miss.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by an infant son and two sisters.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Trinity Community Church in Cardwell, with the Rev. Tim Porter and the Rev, Kevin Knox officiating. Burial was in the Cardwell Cemetery under the direction of McDaniel Funeral Service of Senath.

Active pallbearers were Gordon Jenkins, Travis Jenkins, Robert Terry and Phillip Miller.

Honorary pallbearer was J.R. Marrett.
