Marvin Brown - Manila

Marvin Brown, 73, of Manila, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002, in Manila. He was a retired farmer, member of the Church of Lord Jesus Christ and had lived in the Manila community most of his life.

He is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Jimmy Hathcock of Burleson, Texas, Peggy and Ralph Hill of Blytheville, Sue and Dwight Gurley of Lake City, Carol and Donald Roseberry of Manila; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Brown, a son, Kenneth Ray Brown, his mother, Josie Blake, and a brother, Virgil Brown.

The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Monette with Rev. Rudy Burrow and Rev. Burl Lloyd officiating. Burial was in Manila Cemetery with Gregg Funeral Home of Monette in charge.

Pallbearers were Ronald Faulkner, Harvey Edward Faulkner, Rick Jackson, Dwight Jackson, Steve Blake and Bobby L. Barker.
