Etoil Hooper - Cardwell

Etoil Hooper, 84, of Cardwell, the widow of James Vester Hooper, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2002, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett. Born at Cardwell, she was the daughter of the late William and Dora Pope and had lived most of her life in Cardwell.

She is survived by four sons, Charles Hooper of Hornersville, Wallace Hooper of Cardwell, Johnny Hooper and Paul, both of Jacksonville; eight daughters, Doris Brown of Walcott, Alice Bishop and Jane Stanfield, both of Paragould, Priscilla Angotti of Cardwell, Pamela Roy Sandwich of Illinois, Mary Jo Ward of Arbyrd, Rose June Johnson of Jacksonville, and Sharon Morrison of Glendale, Ariz.; 28 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Monday at Howard Funeral service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Philip Bynum officiating. Burial was in the Cardwell Cemetery.
