Tammy Ann Adams - Black Oak

Tammy Ann Adams, 41, of Black Oak, formerly of Leachville, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2001, at Elvis Presley Trauma Center in Memphis. Born in Leachville, she was the daughter of the late J.W. Tinsley and a lifelong area resident. She was a 1978 graduate of Leachville High School and was a member of the Leachville Second Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Adams, of Black Oak; a son, Brady Duke of Rolla, Mo.; two daughters, Holly Duke of Rolla, Mo., and Taylor Duke of Dyersburg, Tenn.; her mother, Patsy Freeman of Dyersburg; her stepmother, Frances Tinsley of Paragould; two brothers, Bobby Tinsley of Paragould and Kevin Deckard of House Springs, Mo.; four sisters, Treasa Austin of Leachville, Sherry Crum of Dyersburg, Melanie Back of Cardwell and Angie Finley of Dallas, Texas.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Whitney Nicole Duke in 1993 and her grandparents, J.D. and Emogene Tinsley.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Howard Funeral service chapel at Leachville with Rev. Mike Henderson and Rev. Jerry Johnson officiating. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery.
