Myrtle Mae Hurst - Monette

Myrtle Mae Hurst, 107, of Monette, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2001, at Ratcliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. She was a retired school teacher, member of the Monette First Baptist Church, member of the Garden Club and Retired Teachers Association. She had lived in Monette most of her life.

She is survived by a daughter, Patsy Dell Robert of Cape Girardeau; a grandson, Bob Hurst, Sr. of Monette; a granddaughter, Barbara York, of Monette; seven great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver H. Hurst, five children, a sister and four brothers.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Monette First Baptist Church with Rev. Captain Lovell officiating. Burial was in the Monette Cemetery with Gregg Funeral Home of Monette in charge.

Pallbearers were Bob Hurst, Sr., Bob Hurst Jr., Mark Hurst, Michael Howard, Darrell Carter and Billy Graham Harrell.
