Ronald Wayne Hickox, 74, of Blytheville, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. Ronald was born in Effingham, Ill., to Wayne and Lucille Foster Hickox. He worked as a mechanic for Phoenix and was of the Church of Christ faith. Ronald served his country with honor in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Busy week for Blytheville firefighters (Local News ~ 12/18/20)
The Blytheville Fire Department had a busy week, battling three fires in three days. According to BFD fire marshal Daniel Holifield, firemen responded to a house fire in the 1000 block of Highland on Tuesday. “On arrival light smoke was visible and firemen made entry,” Holifield said. “The fire was contained to the attic area of the structure with minimal damages.
