Janet Sue Hudson Showalter, 72, passed away Oct. 3, 2019, in Fayetteville. She was born Sept. 14, 1947, in Blytheville to the late William Hugh and Viola Louise (Dobyns) Hudson. She was the loving wife of Dr. Hugh Rodney Showalter for 48 years. Janet was a piano performance major and received a Bachelor of Music Degree from Hendrix College in 1969. ...

No injuries were reported when a Gosnell bus was struck in the rear on the way to school this morning, according to Gosnell superintendent Bonard Mace. "Gosnell Schools had a bus hit in rear end on way to school this morning," Mace said. "The bus was stopped a stop sign by Shields Lane (near Gary’s food Mart) and driver was wiping off inside of windshield, rolled into bus. No students were injured and no damage to bus."...
