Jewel Thomas "J.T."  Butler, 88, of Paragould passed away Thursday at Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro. He was born in Walnut Ridge, a former pastor of the Paragould Church of God, being one of the original members instrumental in starting services for Pentecostals serving in the military in Europe. He was a 16 year veteran of the Air Force and four year veteran of the Navy serving in the Korean War and the Vietnam era. He loved buying, restoring and selling old cars and trucks. ...

Swimmers cooled off in the Walker Park swimming pool in Blytheville on Wednesday, Thursday and today (Friday). The pool is open on Tuesday - Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m. Admission is $2 per swimmer and children 5 and under are free. Pool party rentals are available for families and non-profit organizations outside of normal business hours. Admission to the pool will be FREE on Saturday, June 15 in conjunction with Arkansas Northeastern College’s Fun Day happening from 2-6 p.m...
