  • * UPDATE: Police release name of shooting victim who died after crash (Local News ~ 01/04/18)
    A man lost his life after being shot and crashing into a building around 9 p.m. Thursday. According to Blytheville Police Chief Ross Thompson, 26-year-old Jonathan Akers was shot several blocks from the accident scene. The vehicle he was riding in crashed into the Seth Holifield State Farm building on East Main. The driver, 24-year-old Devion Carter of Blytheville, was flown to a Memphis hospital.
