Warming centers open

The city of Blytheville has opened the former National Guard Armory (1700 S Division St, corner of S. Division and Byrum Road) as a "warming center." BFD responds to 2 fires

Tuesday morning at 8:04 a.m. the Blytheville Fire Department (BFD) responded to a house fire in the 100 block of West Sycamore. When crews arrived on the scene they witnessed smoke coming from the structure. Two adult occupants of the home exited the structure prior to BFD’s arrival. Fire suppression crews advanced hose lines into the home and quickly extinguished the fire. A rescue team performed a search of the home and verified all occupants were out of the house...
