Monday evening, the Blytheville Board of Education met for their regular monthly meeting and approved a proposal prepared by the district's fiscal agent, First Security Beardsley (FSB), for the issuance of bonds in the amount of $12,680,000. The Raiders would take home the 5A-East District title after a 65-55 victory over the Chickasaws at Blazer Gymnasium. MAGNOLIA -- The Blytheville Chickasaws open the Class 5A State Tournament at 8:30 tonight against Morrilton. The Chicks are playing in the state tournament for the first time since 2012.
