A member of President Barack Obama's Cabinet was in Blytheville on Tuesday afternoon, taking a tour of Main Street and visiting local businesses. Maria Contreras-Sweet, Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration, visited Blytheville, St. Genevieve, Mo. and Cape Girardeau, Mo., Tuesday, as part of her five-day Delta Region Main Street Road Tour, which will take her to five states and 11 cities. Blytheville banker Scott chosen for state board (Local News ~ 07/06/16)
Randy Scott. President and chief operating officer of Farmers Bank and Trust, Blytheville has been appointed to the state banking board. Scott is replacing board member John Freeman, Jonesboro, who served two terms on the Banking Board after initially being appointed in 2006 by Governor Mike Huckabee. Scott's appointment by Governor Asa Hutchinson was effective as of June 8, 2016, and his term on the board will run through December 31, 2020... -
