Shields back in custody (Local News ~ 06/04/16)
Escaped Mississippi County inmate Wendell Shields is back in custody, according to Mississippi County Sheriff Dale Cook. Cook told the CN Saturday evening that Shields was found in Blytheville and was in transit back to the jail. Shields was arraigned Tuesday after allegedly burglarizing Shoe Carnival in April, robbing Hays Grocer later that month and burglarizing Hays on Monday. He escaped Wednesday by climbing a fence and running to the county landfill...
