Jean Ellis "Jack" Pierce, 93, of Maumelle, former longtime Leachville resident, passed from this life Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016, at the Stonehaven Assisted Living Center in Maumelle. Born in Senath and raised in Leachville, he was the son of the late Lewis Christopher and India Ham Pierce and had been a longtime Leachville resident before making his home in Maumelle five years ago...

The Gosnell Junior High boys basketball team captured the 3-4A District championship with a 73-69 win over Westside in double overtime. Born to Clarence and Zelder Maynor, Hershel was a retired truck driver and of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed the outdoors and outdoor activities such as fishing and riding four wheelers. Colten Marbry, 23, and Dillon Marbry, 22, face charges of aggravated robbery, endangering the welfare of a minor and theft of property.
