The Blytheville City Council, in their regular August meeting, passed Ordinance No. 1785 by a vote of 5-1, which levies a new 1 percent Sales and Use Tax upon all goods sold retail and an excise (Use Tax) on the "storage, use, distribution or other consumption of tangible personable property" within the City of Blytheville, pending approval in a special election.
