Christmas Day is just a few days away, and for many people "the most wonderful time of the year" can also be the busiest time of the year. From office holiday parties and long lines at the mall to decking the halls and choir practice it's easy to get burned out on Christmas before Christmas even comes.

It's Santa letter time again at the Courier News. Saturday is the day when we will publish our annual special section containing letters to Santa Claus written by local children.

Mrs. Frances G. Honnoll, 93, of Newport, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 17, at White County Medical Center in Searcy.

Fay Boling-Fisher, 53, of Manila, died Tuesday Dec. 16, 2014, at Saint Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.
