Born Jan. 22, 1921, she is the daughter of the late T.C. and Mollie Leonard Owens. She was a lifelong Leachville resident and a member of the Rowe's Chapel Baptist Church near Caraway...

Emma Jo Masner Conner, 95, of Jonesboro passed away Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014, at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born Nov. 17, 1918, in Poplar Ridge to the late Elmore and Meldora Masner. Deborah Carol Sexton, 51, of Lake City, formerly of Leachville, passed from this life Sunday Sept. 14, 2014, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born Oct. 11, 1962, in Morrison, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Larry Drury and had lived much of her life in Leachville. She was a secretary for Home Oil Company and had lived in Lake City for the past 15 years...

While he is doing all his research, does he know how many times Mayor Dickie Kennemore of Osceola all but got on his knees and begged for the county to let the city of Osceola take over and run our hospital? Evelyn Isabelle Bronaugh, 88, of Monette, died Sept. 12, 2014, at Lakeside Nursing Center in Lake City. She was born April 1926 in Leachville to the late Clyde and Martha Ramsey and raised in Monette by her grandmother, Anner Lee Ramsey. ...

Bellemy came to the Blytheville Humane Society with a hurt paw and the doctor said it had been broken for a while. When the little guy realizes it no longer hurts, he will walk normally. He is at the shelter which is open Tuesday through Saturday from 1-5 p.m., and Sunday from 2-5 p.m...

Polls will be open in Blytheville and Manila all day Tuesday for school board election day.
