Burn ban lifted

Mississippi County Judge Randy Carney officially lifted the county-wide burn ban Saturday afternoon, after a satisfactory amount of rainfall during the latter half of the week. The burn ban was issued in late June as a result of high temperatures and a severe lack of rain. Carney told the CN last week that he was just waiting for it to rain enough that the ground began to soak up moisture, making burn conditions not as hazardous...
