Mr. William Edward Watkins, 58, of Blytheville, died Tuesday, May 29, 2012, in Camden, Tenn.

Mr. Jerry Musser, 75, of Blytheville, died Thursday, May 31, 2012, at St. Vincent's Infirmary Medical Center in Little Rock.

The Sports Hall Thunder Bayou Blowout begins at 5:30 tonight at the Blytheville Youth Sportsplex. Longtime Blytheville business owner and donut icon, Jerry Musser of Jeri-Lin Donuts, passed away Thursday at the age of 75. He and Linda, his wife of 53 years, opened the shop in August of 1969.

Gosnell Pirate head football coach Brian Sims submitted his resignation Friday. Sims is taking the job of offensive line coach at Greenwood High School. Greenwood, near the Fort Smith area, is moving into the 6A this season. "It's a great school in a community that loves football," said Sims. "It's just a good move for me and my family."...
