County makes good on lawsuit threat against city

As of Wednesday, Mississippi County has filed legal action against the city of Blytheville over its delinquent jail fees. Blytheville owes the county $609,445.01 in back fees, the total from March of 2011 through the present.

The Sports Hall Thunder Bayou Blowout begins at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Blytheville Youth Sportsplex. Thirty-two teams from northeast Arkansas and Missouri will compete in four different age brackets in the contest that will conclude Sunday evening. -
