As you read this, friends, it will be my birthday. And yes, you should put down the paper right now and sing Happy Birthday. I expect to hear it reverberating all over town. Also I will welcome cupcakes. Just kidding (not really).

On July 1, 2012, Armorel Superintendent Bruce Young will step down from his position after two years. Young came out of retirement and has held the position since July of 2010 -- just two months after the district was put on the Fiscal Distress list by the state of Arkansas, and just days after new superintendent, Tom Bennett, had abruptly resigned.
