Things were relatively back to normal Thursday night at the Blytheville Youth Sporsplex. After three consecutive days with out any activity, a full slate of games was played from Blytheville Chickasaw baseball and softball to Cal Ripken League and youth softball. Here's a wrap up of the action...

The Blytheville City Council's Streets and Drainage Committee is referring a proposal to the Blytheville Planning Commission that would turn Ash and Walnut into two-lane streets, once the future Highway 18 project is complete.

Residents of the southeast Missouri town of Caruthersville braced Thursday for a flood crest expected to have the Mississippi River lapping at the top of the floodwall.

Max Henrichs Schrader, 82, of Manila, passed from this life early Thursday, May 5, 2011, at his home.

Mrs. Lucille Moody, 89, of Paragould, formerly of the Lone Oak community near Blytheville, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, May 5, 2011, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.
