The Armorel Tigers split a pair of games with the 2A Maynard Tigers Friday night at Armorel. The Lady Tigers won the first game, 47-37 while the boys dropped the nightcap, 58-48, in their final home game.

Petrino to speak at local Razorback Club

Arkansas football coach Bobby Petrino will be the guest speaker at the annual Mississippi County Razorback Club banquet, scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Feb. 28 at the Manila Airport Center. Club officials are expecting a larger crowd this year and needed the extra space so they opted to move the event from its usual venue, the Arkansas Northeastern College Burdette campus.

Newlyweds at 66, 77

Judith and Von Perkins aren't your typical newlyweds. Yes, they've only been married since last June after meeting six months before that. But Judith is 66 and Von is 77 years young. The two met at the Mississippi County Senior Citizens Activity Center in Blytheville.
