Words such as successful, proud and outstanding were heard as adult students were praised at the end of 70 hours of classroom study in a medical terminology course. Students of the first class completed their finals and received certificates at the end of the 13-week course held at Manila High School. Benefit tournament raises $1,200

Area men and women's softball teams played in a benefit tournament in Manila this past week. Ten teams participated including three men's teams and seven women's teams. The slow pitch, double elimination tournament, raised nearly $1,200. All proceeds will go to Rose Sammons to help with medical expenses. Sammons suffered burns and has been undergoing treatment...
