Rescue workers responded to a possible drowning call Sunday at 3:52 p.m. at the Floodway Diversion that runs along side Mallard Lake near Manila. Floy Jones of Lake City celebrated her 100th birthday Saturday, July 12, with a big birthday party given in her honor at the home of her daughter, Dorothy Timms. It was standing room only for the large crowd that gathered to help Mrs. Jones celebrate. Monette Fire Department trains, purchases new equipment
