Memorial Day

The annual Memorial Day Service was held Monday, May 30 at the Blytheville courthouse. Dr. Michael Williams opened with the invocation, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and the singing of the Star Spangled Banner by Tammy Swanson. Jim Dixon then introduced the speaker, Rich Norris, who offered moving remarks on the meaning of Memorial Day. The service also included a gun salute and Taps by the Blytheville Police Department Honor Guard and the releasing of the doves.
